PAULA
Paula Izydorek is a veteran of creative exploration. She specializes in painting, travel and laughter. Paula has worn many hats in both her personal and professional life with her all time favorite head topper being a snowboarding helmet! Izydorek fell in love with snowboarding in 2017 when she by chance was given a Burton board. She added bindings and boots then took her new setup to Brandywine, a local resort near Cleveland Ohio, where she learned to fall, tumble and occasionally feather successfully down the slope. Two seasons later Paula signed up for an all female snowboarding group lesson. During the weekly lessons instructed by Sarah Sherepita, Izydorek’s confidence tripled and riding improved so much that even her teenage son and his friends took notice. Today Paula continues to nurture her adventurous spirit with the support of her favorite women known as the CLE MISSfits Park Crew. She recently purchased a dreamy snowboarding shack near Steamboat and looks forward to shredding its slopes.
KRISTEN
Kristen didn’t start riding until the age of 28, but you’d never know it. Kristen first learned to ride from some fantastic ladies including Sarah Sherepita (MISSFITS leader) and Di Polcsik (MISSFIT). She’s always down to ride and continues to push herself to improve. In the off-season, Kristen loves to boat, camp, hike, basically be outdoors enjoying the sun.
BOOTS
Hi I’m Amanda Boots!! I started skiing at 3 years old at Peak N Peek, then switched to snowboarding at 13 – when a friend and I rented a snowboard from Boston Hills here in Ohio and never looked back! I’ve been riding for over 20 years and love every bit of it, but never took a lesson until I was encouraged to join Woman’s Discovery with Sarah about 8 years ago. Y’all – Take A LESSON!! I’ve progressed so much and now i’m loving it WAY MORE. I’m married to my lovely and supportive husband, Don, who is forming a support group for surviving the winter season while the ladies shred all day. I have a 14 year old stepson who rides with me, a 4 year old daughter who has been tearing it up since she was 2 and loves the snow, and a 2 year old son who prefers to stay by the fireplace but we’re working on it :). I love being a motivational mom and riding with other badass mamas!!! I’ve recently picked up skateboarding to fill the summer months, and also love board games, ghost stories, eating nachos, reading, painting, hiking, cats and buckets of coffee.
